The Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures

Go here and find out how you can help Alex.

i just joined. i called.

You can call 1-800-891-0631 and become a paid signature gatherer for the petition. If you'd prefer to be an unpaid volunteer, call 800-829-4133.

For those of you that do not know, Alex has Duchenne's variety Muscular Dystropy. Stem cell research studies have already shown that they can reverse and cure DMD in laboratory animals. Since The Embaressment Of The United States, George Bush has Federally outlawed stem cell research using embryonic and living adult harvested stem cells, it is up to the States to pass laws to allow the research.

Please help. All it would take is to fill out a online form or even a five minute phone call.

By the way, the last thumbnail of Alex, in the above thumbnails, is photos i took after his muscle biopsy operation, which they used to find out if he had, conclusively, DMD. Also, i had a portion of the tissue sent to have his DNA mapped which the data from that will be used to "reprogram" his DNA using stem cells, when a treatment becomes available.

i know the exon addresses inside his DNA where the DMD lurks to kill his muscle cells. There is a different meaning i hear when people say to me, "You are so close to your son.".

They have no idea.

On another note, there was a VoIP project where if you called it (800 number), it'd give a short diddy about the bill going up for vote and if you wanted to "Notify your congressman" it'd email and/or fax (not sure, dont remember) the congressman for you district saying you (the caller) was "for" that particular bill.

Joined. First picture is VERY James Dean-ish. Handsome kid. Man, I remember watching Power Rangers when they first hit the scene. Aww, the nostalgia. Best wishes for the following year and so on! Alex has a fanbase and we're rootin' for 'em!

Joined. Also sent Jeff the information.

I was wondering if Jeff and I could have permission to use one of the above photos of Alex in an email that we could send out to all of our friends and family in our email address books - to tell people why their support is important and forward them on to the web page to join. Please let me know. :)

Thank you, darling, so much.

Power Rangers is his most favorite show. We have all the DVDs and those are better than watching them on just t.v. He got me hooked on them. There is a lot of good messages in that show about teamwork, never giving up and self-power.

Do you remember where you saw it? Was it for this bill?

It was a Novanetic project for Big River. I found the details of the project to be the following:

There would be a promo flyer / billboard / etc. for a particular bill with a 800/866 number listed. Interested folks would call said 800/866 number and it would say something about the bill and ask if they wanted to comment to their congressman (state) to enter their zip code. It would then "beep" and allow them to leave a message. When it was completed, it would convert the 'voicemail' to a .wav file and email it to the congressman (or office of the congressman). The db would also log the call and there was a page you could go to and see them listed on a map.
